Hot and Steamy
Valentine Card Idea
This card was made for my sister to give to her husband.
Supplies and Materials:
- cardstock
- KC&Company design paper
- paper cutter
- glue
- digial image and sentiment
- ribbon
- brads
- fiskars embossing plate
- pearls
- mounting tape
- red & black inks
How I made this card:
- I started by making a 5 1/2" easel card. I added the designer paper.
- I embossed a piece of white card stock with Fiskars brick pattern plate, and inked the embossed layer.
- I then layered both red and black card stock behind the embossed piece.
- I added 2 pieces of ribbon around these layers and tied it together.
- Attached 3 heart brads, and glued it to the card base.
- Next I inked the edges of my digital image, and attached this layer with mounting tape for the 3D look.
- The inside of the card was made by layering the same designer paper as on the front, and triple layering the sentiment (that had the edges inked in black) with the red and black cardstocks, and attached it to the base with the mounting tape.
- I added a few black pearls to finish the card.
