Contest Description
In the Mood for Love: Romance Cards Contest 2012 (the “Contest”) is designed to encourage card-makers (that’s you!) to inspire fellow arts and crafts enthusiasts to get into the art of card-making by sharing ideas, tips, photos and tutorials of homemade love and romance cards.
We want to see what you've created -- your own Valentine card ideas! Please submit only photos of projects that belong to you. If you upload copyrighted images or try to pass off another artist's work as your own, your entry will be removed and you may be banned from entering our future contests.
Eligibility
If you are 18+ years of age then you are absolutely eligible to join! All entries must be in by March 1, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time (PT). You can submit as many entries as you like!
All participants must provide a valid email address, which will be used to contact them in the event of winning a prize. Email addresses submitted to Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties, except as required by law.
If you do not provide an email address, we may still add your contribution to the site but it will not be an eligible entry to the contest since we will have no means of contacting you (sorry). So please do make sure you provide an email address.
Contest void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
How to Enter
Simply complete the contest entry form on our Official Contest Page.
To be true to our goal of inspiring other crafters to make cards, we are strictly requiring the following for every submission:
1. At least one photo of your artwork (But you can upload up to four!);
2. A list of tools and supplies used; and,
3. A step-by-step tutorial on how to make the card.
Please also add our button to your blog or site's sidebar to help us spread the word.
All write-ups must be original and must NOT appear on any other site or blog. Of course, you can blog about your project and post instructions on your own site or blog but please rewrite your article. Google penalizes sites for duplicate content (two or more posts in exact wording) and both our sites may suffer. Absolutely no duplicate content please.
All entries must be (i) original; (ii) complete (as determined by Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com); and (iii) in English. Any submission that does not comply with the aforementioned criteria will be disqualified.
By entering the contest, participants grant Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com the right to use and publish their ideas and photos on the website and/or any other media.
We are not responsible for any entries not received due to any technical problems such as intermittent internet connection, service outages or delays, or any other glitches.
We reserve the right to reject any entry on the basis of unsuitability or unoriginality at our own discretion.
Contest Period
Contest begins on January 8, 2012. Contest ends on March 1, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time (PT).
Judging and Selection of Winners
Winners will be selected by Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com based on the following criteria:
50% Comprehensiveness of Tutorial
25% Creativity
25% Quality of Photo(s)
Winners will be selected by March 8, 2012 and will be notified by email. If a winner is unable for whatever reason to accept his or her prize within seven (7) days, then Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com reserves the right to award the prize to another participant.
Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest in the events of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other conditions which corrupt or affect the administration, fairness and proper conduct of the contest.
Use Your Best Judgment
You are responsible for everything you upload. Inappropriate images will be removed. Illegal or prohibited content will be reported to the authorities.
Prizes
Main Prizes
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive US$100. One (1) Second Prize Winner will receive US$50. One (1) Third Prize winner will receive US$25. All prizes will be awarded via Paypal.
*Update* Additional Prize!
We're adding another prize to double the fun! We think it's only fair to give an "A" for effort so we've decided to award the contestant with the most number of entries US$25!
Winners are allowed to win ONE Main(Grand, Second OR Third) Prize. If in case a Main Prize winner has also submitted the most number of entries, the winner is entitled to win the additional US$25 prize as well.
Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of an equivalent or higher value and to have additional prizes.
Winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes on prize as well as any and all expenses incidental to entering the contest and/or claiming the prize.
Prizes will be awarded within fourteen (14) days from selection of winners. No substitution allowed except at the discretion of Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com. Prizes are not transferrable.
Conditions of Participation
By entering this contest, you agree explicitly that all components of your artwork and your supporting write-up are indeed original creations. You also agree to release Lets-Make-Greeting-Cards.com from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the contest including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, or rights of publicity or privacy.
These Contest Rules are final and binding. Any contestant who does not abide by the rules will be disqualified.

We’ll do our best to moderate all submissions for this contest but we’ll need your help too! Please let us know if you spot a copyrighted or plagiarized image or write-up through this form.
